Curious odd child + full time critical optimist, currently based in New York, USA.
Passionate about design, science fiction and shaping the way we will live.
Hi, my name is Mia. I'm an Austrian Designer and Art Directress currently studying for my second masters in MFA Design & Technology at Parsons - The New School, NYC. Furthermore I'm also a graduate of the University of Applied Arts Vienna / Design Investigations Studio, as well as a Fulbright Scholarship grantee.

To keep things short: I love futures full of agency. Most of my work lies within the general realm of a Creative Technologist mixed with Speculative Design, Product Design, Set Design and a curiosity for trying something new all of the time. Focused on contemporary technological, cultural + social inventions and their implications on our lives yet to come, I am aiming to support the imagining and creation of collective futures we truly want to live in: inclusive, nuanced and thoughtful ones.
So far I've had the pleasure to present my work repeatedly at the Vienna Biennial for Change, represent Austria at the London Design Biennial and exhibit in various exhibitions such as the ongoing international exhibition 'Hello, Robot', curated by the Vitra Design Museum.

Lastly, I wholeheartedly enjoy observing, researching and making, have written for both popular and scientific publications and have given talks about the various themes I've become passionate along the way.
